Betty Lindstrom and her family have been fostering with Greenhill since 2006. As our go-to family for fostering moms and puppies, Betty and her family have amazingly fostered over 100 dogs and puppies for Greenhill. They started fostering when their granddaughter saw an ad in the newspaper about fostering.

“Our most unique and special fostering experiences have probably been the times we have cared for mother dogs and their newborn litters,” said Betty.

Their first time was with the well-known Blondie and her eight puppies in 2007. Since then, they have cared for Charlie and her eight puppies, Nova and her six puppies and most recently, K.T. and her eight puppies who were born in their bedroom.

“My favorite thing about fostering has been to get to know the different breeds and temperaments of the 100+ dogs we have been able to have in our home. I love playing with puppies and seeing their growing understanding of being alive,” said Betty.

When they are not busy fostering dogs for Greenhill, Betty and her husband have been busy raising three grandchildren.

“Being a foster family for Greenhill lets you enjoy giving dogs a new/good start in life. It is a chance to learn patience, experience the amazement of growing new life, and develop the best way to pick up poop!”
