KVAL Tail-A-Thon Raises $61,292 for the animals!

March 15th, 2017

Greenhill Humane Society operates the largest animal shelters in the Eugene/Springfield area and cares for animals from all over Lane County. Their life-saving rate is among the best in the country, but they are limited by their two aging and inadequate facilities. The community’s call to provide better behavioral and medical care for animals in need exceeds current capacity. This project will enable us to provide a higher level of care for the animals while at the same time improving access to our programs and services for people in the community.

Yesterday, KVAL News hosted our first ever telethon to kick start our fundraising for this amazing project.

We wanted to say thank you so much to everyone who called or went online to donate during our KVAL Tail-a-Thon yesterday! You raised $61,292 to change the lives of Lane County’s most vulnerable pets.

We want to give an especially big shout out to all the amazing staff at KVAL News for spending the day with us from dawn to dusk. We are so grateful for their dedication and passion in making this event a huge success for the animals!

This is an incredible beginning, and we still have a long way to go to reach our $5.6 million to change the lives of shelter animals! You can still help us build our new shelter and our humane community by clicking here to donate
