Global Giving Project to Save the Lives of Homeless Animals in Oregon

November 29, 2017 @ 8:00 am - December 31, 2017 @ 11:59 pm

Greenhill Humane Society has launched our 1st ever GlobalGiving campaign!

Have you heard?!?  We’re building a new shelter and veterinary medical clinic that will greatly increase the level of care for homeless, lost, abandoned and neglected animals. We operate one of the oldest and largest animal shelters in Oregon and care for approximately 3,000 animals each year, and our life-saving rate is among the best in the county.  Combining state-of-the-art care and rehabilitation with stress-free living spaces will better meet the social, physical and mental needs of animals.

State-of-the-art housing will provide a space for dogs to safely heal and relax in our care. New buildings will provide indoor kennels, extended stay rooms, indoor meet & greet rooms, an indoor behavior training yard, and multiple indoor and outdoor play yards. This new space will reduce noise levels and stress while improving care, flow, safety, and customer service. This will significantly strengthen our ability to find homes for animals and enhance our on-site veterinary capabilities.

This project is the largest in Greenhill Humane Society’s history and is driven by the need to provide better behavioral and medical care for animals in crisis. Our goal is to help keep pets with their families by providing better access to veterinary care and pet care counseling, and to find new, loving homes for abandoned and surrendered animals. This new facility is going to improve the lives of animals and impact people who care about animals for generations to come.
