Greenhill Humane Society is joining Eugene Sunday Streets and #EUGfun for this year’s fantabulous Eugene Parade. If you want to paw-ticipate in the Pet Parade fun – join us at Monroe Park near the corner of Monroe and W. Broadway at 9:30am. You’ll see our Greenhill table and hopefully a bevy of animals and their peeps! Greenhill will be leading off the Pet Promenade and Parade at 10:00am.
Pets of all sizes and their humans can strut their stuff in the Pet Promenade at the beginning of The EUG Parade route, dispersing at Broadway and Charnelton. The Eugene Parade Theme is “Spinning Our Wheels,” and the Greenhill Brigade’s theme is “Superheroes” to celebrate the super hero in all of these amazing animals. Dress in costume or have your pets comes as they are. We love them however they roll. They must be socialized and safe around humans and other animals, and safely transported. Safety first – then fun, and conviviality. Be sure and stay hydrated. We will have water bowls on site, but you should bring your own water to have on hand during and/or after the parade. And – no poop left behind! If you need bags to tidy up and be responsible, just ask us on site and we will supply them for you to use.
NOTE: All animals must be on leashes or other method of containment for the safety of pets, participants and audience members.
Individuals may participate in the Pet Promenade, however, for larger animals or groups/clubs with horses, camels, llamas, etc., participants must be in costume and provide their own Pooper Scoopers, removing all animal waste in the staging area and along the parade route; no exceptions. All animals must be on leashes or contained for their safety, and the safety of participants and audience members.” ~ https://www.eugene-or.gov/2047/The-EUG-Parade
