You’re invited to Greenhill’s summer-long Kitten Shower Celebration!
Summer is here, and so are the kittens! “Kitten season” has already begun, which means it’s time to bulk up on care supplies for the hundreds of feline babies who will come to the shelter needing medical treatment, socialization, love & more. The need to help kittens find their fur-ever homes is a yearly effort, but we encourage our animal-loving community to adopt kittens, donate vital supplies, and volunteer to join our foster program.
Guests are invited to bring an item from our Wish List. The wish list items labeled for our Kitten Shower are vital supplies Greenhill needs to help care for these kittens. In 2024, Greenhill’s foster families cared for nearly 600 cats, including over 530 kittens. The shelter expects this year’s total to exceed last year’s.

Adopt: Over the next few weeks, we anticipate hundreds of healthy, happy kittens ready to find families! Keep an eye on our adorable cats available for adoption here. All adoptions are every day from 11am – 4pm on a first come first serve basis. All kitten and adult cat adoptions include: a physical exam and behavioral evaluation by a trained staff, spay/neuter surgery, vaccinations, flea and worm treatment, a collar and ID tag, pre-adoption consultation, trackable microchip, post-adoption support. All cats must be transported home in a carrier (available to purchase for $5) and if it is not a good fit, new pets can be returned to Greenhill at any time.
Foster: We are seeking fosters to care for these vulnerable babies until they are ready for adoption. Learn more about fostering here. Foster families provide a calm, quiet place for an animal to heal and learn to trust. Fosters receive all necessary supplies and support from Greenhill’s veterinary team. The animal’s length of stay can vary depending on the animal’s needs and the foster family’s availability.
Donate: An increase in vulnerable babies means more crucial supplies are needed like Powdered KMR (Kitten Milk Replacer), Kitten canned food & kibble, Miracle Nipples (mini), Digital food scales, Snuggle Safes, and small cat toys. See our wish list here or make a financial donation to support Greenhill’s work here.
Share: Spread the word to your friends and family to help us reach more potential adopters, fosters, donors, and animal lovers who find kittens.
Together, we can ensure that every kitten receives the care and love they deserve during this critical time. Thank you for your compassion and support! Find additional information on kitten season and resources here.
