Greenhill Offering Discounted Adoptions to help you FALL in Love
Greenhill Humane Society has teamed up with Kendall Subaru of Eugene as part of the October Subaru Loves Pets initiative
Eugene, Oregon – (October 2, 2025) – Greenhill Humane Society is hoping to place more than 250 animals into loving homes this October with adoption specials to make you fall in love. Thanks to the support of Kendall Subaru of Eugene, Subaru of America and the ASPCA, Greenhill will be offering half-price adoptions for all dogs, cats, and specialized species two years old and older. All dogs, cats, and rabbits are spayed/neutered, microchipped, and up-to-date on vaccines prior to adoption. Greenhill is open every day from 11 a.m. – 4 p.m. To see all the adoptable pets that qualify for this promotion, visit our pet pages, dogs, cats, others.
“Adopting a pet brings joy to everyone involved,” said Cary Lieberman, Greenhill’s Executive Director. “This October, thanks to the generosity of Kendall Subaru of Eugene, Subaru of America, and the ASPCA, more pets in our care can connect with families ready to welcome them, spreading happiness throughout our community.”
According to the ASPCA®, 5.8 million dogs and cats entered shelters and rescues in 2024, where many wait to find loving homes. That’s why, as part of their Subaru Loves Pets initiative, Kendall Subaru of Eugene is providing Greenhill Humane Society with direct funding through a grant administered by the ASPCA® to help cover essential costs for preparing animals for adoption, including veterinary care, spay/neuter surgeries, vaccinations, and more.
Below are few of the animals currently in our care who are part of this adoption special. To see all the adoptable pets that qualify for this promotion, visit our pet pages, dogs, cats, others.
Fluffin
Fluffin is a young female chinchilla that arrived at Greenhill recently. She
is super curious, active, and loves to come investigate when there’s commotion.
Fluffin is very social and appreciates a good chin scratch. She is a single
chinchilla but would likely do very well with another female through proper introductions. Chinchillas make good pets for adults or older teenagers that can be gentle with handling and understand their specialized care.
Oda
Oda is a 3- year-old terrier mix that has the cutest big ears and little legs.
Oda came to Greenhill as a stray and while he can be a bit intense at first, he is very friendly and affectionate. He is 60 pounds of pure smiles and loves to play fetch and tug of war! Oda is very energetic and would do well with a family that can take him out to run around to get his wiggles out. He would make a great partner on morning walks and after would love to snuggle up with his person.
Leo
Leo is a lovable 6-year-old kitty who loves pets and attention! He is looking
for a calm, indoor home with his new family. Leo enjoys looking out of windows
and watching wildlife. He has a medical release you can ask our staff about if you
are interested in adopting.
