Group Volunteering Projects
Greenhill Humane Society provides a unique opportunity for groups to spend time together serving the community and contributing to the welfare of shelter animals. A project is a great way for organizations to support their staff giving back!
Below are the options we offer for group volunteering projects, each tier includes all project supplies, a welcome tour of the shelter, and group photo. Click below to book your project today!
Tier 1
Campus Beautification Crew-
Group Size: 3-10

Total Time: 3 hours

Dates: Spring, Summer, Fall

Activities Include: Trash pick up, Sweeping/Washing walkways, Cleaning ledges, washing buildings/windows

Animal Contact: None, but animals may be visible during tour

Cost: $200 donation

Team-Building & Mission Impact: Participants work together to improve the shelter’s first impression, creating a welcoming, clean environment for adopters, volunteers, and animals.
Tier 2
Indoor Clean & Pet Pantry Support-
Group Size: 3-10

Total Time: 3 hours

Dates: Winter, Spring, Summer, Fall

Activities Include: Cleaning office furniture, walls/baseboards, windows, organizing retail space, cleaning & distributing pet pantry

Animal Contact: None, but animals may be visible during tour

Participants support both shelter animals and community members by improving shared spaces and assisting with a critical food assistance program.
Tier 3
Landscape & Grounds Crew-
Group Size 4-10

Activities Include: Weeding & mulching garden beds, Planting & watering new plants/flowers, Pruning & trash pick up

Animal Contact: None, but animals may be visible during tour

Tier 4
Adoption Space Clean & Dog Enrichment-

Activities Include: Deep cleaning kennels, washing windows, learning about dog training & behavior enrichment, observing dogs in play yards

Animal Contact: Limited, staff-directed interaction with learning & enrichment activities

Tier 5
Large-scale Outdoor Project-
Group Size 5-10

Activities Include: Sand & re-stain outdoor dog play yard fencing and remembrance pergola
