Greenhill Gems are special animals that need a little extra exposure to find their forever homes. They may have special needs, or they just keep getting overlooked in our shelters. Some have medical issues that require ongoing care; some have been abused or neglected and need socialization to act and feel safe. They may have physical or emotional challenges, but all have the desire to love and be loved.

Greenhill and 1st Avenue are looking for fosters to help us care for these young, fragile felines.
The average length of stay in foster care for kittens is 3 weeks, though this can vary and may be longer. Fosters provide our animals with enrichment, socialization, and daily care. We provide medical and behavioral support as well as guidance through every step of the process! Not interested in kittens? We are also in need of fosters for adult dogs and adult cats! These stays can be longer, but help us to provide more animals with specialized care. If you are interested in helping us care for the animals in our community through fostering, please contact our Foster Care Manager at (541)689-1503 Ext. 114 or foster@green-hill.org.
