Please consider donating an original work of art to Greenhill Humane Society’s 9th Annual Art for Animals Silent and Live Auction, presented by So Delicious & Ninkasi Brewing Company. Art for Animals will be held Friday, November 11th, at Ninkasi’s Administrative Building, located at 155 Blair Blvd. Doors open at 7:00 PM.
Call For Artists
Greenhill Humane Society announces “Art for Animals”, a juried live and silent art auction to support lost and homeless pets in our community. All mediums are welcome, including but not limited to painting, photography, sculpture, ceramics, glass, jewelry and fiber arts. Artwork is enjoyed and purchased by a diverse group of collectors, art enthusiasts and animal supporters. Funds raised at the auction ensure that Greenhill can continue to provide safe shelter, medical care, healthy food, behavior training and adoption services for thousands of pets in need each year.
Preview Exhibit
Prior to the November 11th Art for Animals auction, we will feature selected art in an “AFA Preview Exhibit” at Oregon Wine LAB starting October 1st. This exposure will provide increased publicity to donating artists and an additional opportunity for community members to enjoy the diverse collection of art generosly donated by talented local artists. Please note: Art diplayed during the preview exhibit will be available for purchase during the November 11th Art for Animals Auction.

Benefits for Donating Artists
Exposure to your art by hundreds of community members and Greenhill supporters
Artists donating artwork valued at $150-$299 will receive one complimentary ticket to the November 11th Art for Animals Auction and the option to purchase additional tickets at a reduced rate.
Artists donating artwork valued at $300 or more will receive two complimentary tickets to the November 11th Art for Animals Auction and the option to purchase additional tickets at a reduced rate.
Donation Details
Greenhill Humane Society is a registered 501(c)3 non-profit organization and donors may receive a tax deduction for their donation. Please consult a tax advisor. Please note, a donation is not a loan or consignment; it is an outright gift to Greenhill Humane Society. If a donation is not juried into the auction, the donor will be given the opportunity to collect the donation by December 1, 2016. If the donation is not collected by that date, Greenhill Humane Society may use it for future events. Greenhill cannot cover shipping expenses, but if requested, will assist in making shipping arrangements. Greenhill Humane Society staff and volunteers will handle all artwork professionally, with respect to care; however, Greenhill will not be responsible for breakage, theft or loss.

Artists are asked to provide Greenhill with an estimated fair market value for each donated piece. Greenhill will not have the artwork appraised, but may ask an artist to provide proof of value for similar work sold.
The Jury Process
Jurors will use specific criteria when voting, including originality, imagination, invention, marketability, audience appeal and transportability.
Artwork, donation form, and installation requirements must be submitted by November 1, 2016 for the Art for Animals Auction, and October 17th, 2016 for the AFA Preview Exhibit. Please be sure to fill out the form completely and legibly.
